Pair of 20th Century George II ‘Royal Chairs’
A decadent and historical pair of 20th Century interpretations of the Richard Roberts George II chair used as a ceremonial Royal Throne in 1729.
With gilded gold-leaf carved eagle-heads terminating the arm rests, on cabriole legs of stylised shells flanked by eagle-head pierced brackets and hairy paw feet. The huge scale seats are truly fit for a King! Upholstered in divine powder-blue raised ‘scale’ patterned velvet and natural linen jacquard-weave fabric accented by a complimentary blue silk braid.
