This hanging corner cupboard surmounted by sectional shelves originates from Ameland mid-18th Century. It depicts Venus or the Goddess Chloris (the Goddess of Spring) surrounded by Angels, Cherubs and Putti offering an abundance of flowers and foliage from woven baskets. The reclining female figure is swathed in silks within a magical garden setting, with blue skies and an outdoor shelter made from a regal chaise longue and draped canopy.
Worth noting is the original coral polychrome interior.
