Florentine Terracotta of Montelupo Storage Jar c.1780

An organically formed terracotta olive oil storage jar from Montelupo, Florence c.1780.

This smooth jar has two shaped handles and inner dark glazing. The patination of time visible on its lichen dappled surface and superb texture. In remarkable original condition.
