“Lucid light floods through two delicately hand-blown glass jugs, one 17th Century and one late Medieval, both 'verre de fougére' known as forest glass created from wood ash and sand as raw materials in central Europe in glasshouses in forested areas. They contrast strongly with pre-Roman forms of which they are reminiscent of. Their primitive shapes are timeless, the colour blue-green a Roman tradition and perfection. They are imbued with spirit of the maker.”
