Arras Wrought Iron Garden Table, France c.1900–1920

A finely made wrought iron garden table from Arras, northern France, dating to around 1900–1920. The rectangular top, retaining its old green painted surface with earlier layers visible beneath, is supported by a delicately scrolled wrought iron base with a circular stretcher and four curved legs ending in lion’s paw feet, a signature detail of Arras production in the early twentieth century.

This design represents the later development of Arras ironwork, combining robust construction with the elegant, flowing lines typical of the Belle Époque and early interwar periods. The layered paint surface, with its subtle texture and variation, reflects decades of outdoor use and contributes to its appealing patina.
